Donovan Dent drew 13 fouls in LSU's UCF exhibition. New Orleans allowed Southern Miss 35 free throws in its own exhibition.
Southern Miss also scored 22 first-half paint points. Dent's drives and foul drawing are why I favor LSU -22.5.
Sending help at Dent brings Skyy Clark and Abdi Bashir Jr. into the matchup. Clark made 7 threes at Florida State, while Bashir went 6-for-12 from three against UCF, both in exhibitions.
Clark, Brice Dessert and Saliou Niang made their exhibition debuts as starters at Florida State. Those additions give LSU more rotation options than the five starters and Jordan Bender used against UCF.
