GA Southern gave up 15 offensive rebounds and 13 second-chance points to Ball State in its opener. Georgia Tech grabbed 19 offensive boards against Hampton.
I’m backing Georgia Tech -18 because the Jackets can extend possessions against that rebounding weakness. Tech also outscored Hampton 48-22 in the paint.
Cole Kirouac contributed 10 rebounds and 2 blocks off the bench against Hampton.
GA Southern shot 20-for-53 from the field against Ball State, including 5-for-19 from three. At the rim, the Eagles face Tylis Jordan, who blocked 5 shots in his debut.
