New York has 38 offensive rebounds through three games, including 11 from Karl-Anthony Towns. Those possessions have produced 58 second-chance points, compared with 35 for its opponents.
Knicks -4 against the Pistons is a bet on that second-shot scoring against a frontcourt missing Jalen Duren. He is out with a right hamstring strain.
Towns had 5 offensive boards against Orlando on Sunday. New York scored 52 points in the paint.
Detroit allowed 52 paint points at Philadelphia that same day with Duren sidelined.
