A displayed Cash Out offer is not the same as a completed Cash Out. Under FanDuel Sportsbook’s New Jersey House Rules, the key moment is acceptance.
Before acceptance, the offer can change or disappear. A Cash Out request may be delayed before acceptance. After FanDuel accepts the request, the whole wager or relevant portion settles immediately at the agreed value. Later action in the event does not change that accepted settlement, subject to FanDuel’s stated error-correction rights.
The linked FanDuel Sportsbook New Jersey Terms and Conditions were last updated on Oct. 15, 2026. They identify Betfair Interactive US LLC as the operator and state that use in New Jersey is subject to applicable New Jersey and U.S. federal regulations. The House Rules apply to markets placed through the FanDuel Sportsbook Betting Apps and at the New Meadowlands Racetrack retail location. The terms also state that the Live Betting rules apply equally to Cash Out functionality.
What Cash Out does
FanDuel’s New Jersey House Rules describe Cash Out as a feature that lets a customer settle a wager before the event outcome. The settlement can cover the whole wager or part of it. FanDuel determines the offered value. These rules do not describe the calculation formula or establish whether accepting an offer is financially optimal.
- An offer is displayed, but the customer has not successfully exercised it.
- FanDuel accepts the Cash Out request and settles the whole wager or relevant portion.
The first state leaves the original wager in effect unless the terms provide otherwise.
Why a displayed offer can change or disappear
FanDuel offers Cash Out at its discretion. Cash Out may be unavailable for a particular wager or become unavailable later, even when the feature has been advertised for that event.
The terms list several possible reasons for unavailability, including technical issues, human error, suspected fraud or other improprieties, and issues outside FanDuel’s control.
A Cash Out request can also face a delay before acceptance. If the offered value changes or the market becomes suspended during that delay, FanDuel may present a revised offer.
What happens after acceptance
When FanDuel accepts a Cash Out request, the whole wager or relevant portion settles immediately at the agreed value. The accepted Cash Out is final, and later events or outcomes are not considered for that settled portion.
Suppose a customer requests a full Cash Out while an event is in progress. If FanDuel accepts it, the wager settles at that agreed value. The eventual event result does not replace the accepted Cash Out settlement.
For a partial Cash Out, the same rule applies to the relevant portion. FanDuel settles that portion immediately at the agreed value.
What happens when Cash Out is unavailable
If Cash Out is unavailable or the customer does not successfully exercise it, the initial wager generally stands as placed unless another part of the terms provides otherwise.
Can an accepted Cash Out be corrected?
Yes. FanDuel reserves the right to correct or reverse a Cash Out that was accepted or settled in error. The rule includes technical, pricing and system issues as examples.
A correction can lead to resettlement. That resettlement may adjust the customer’s account balance.
Acceptance is final regarding later event action, but it remains subject to FanDuel’s stated error-correction rights. Those are different conditions. Later event action concerns what happens as the game or event continues. Error correction concerns a Cash Out accepted or settled in error.
How Bonus Bet-funded wagers are treated
Cash Out may become available after the event goes live. If the customer cashes out that wager, the customer receives only the net winnings included in the Cash Out amount. The original Bonus Bet stake is excluded from the Cash Out value and is not returned to the account.
